Interest Groups will enable all members to have their voices and opinions heard, raise issues and concerns, and hear from experts (including members) from within their field of interest.
Different IGs will meet regularly on different topics within their remits, and be moderated by one or more of our Board Directors to ensure fair share of voice, good behaviour and importantly, to also ensure that the ideas, concerns, issues and interests of our members are brought back to the Board for further discussion and action.
Once key issues and any overlapping areas from different Ineterest Group sessions have been identified, a small number (8-12) of interested/experienced/skilled members will be asked by our Board to form a Working Group tasked with addressing specific issues and developing outputs and/or solutions.
This way, we hope to utilise our members' experience, skills and ideas and to distill their input into meaningful actions and solutions.
WGs will be lean, focused, and adhere to SMART principles.
AMCA is all about action to improve the sector for all concerned, from patients through to industry and everyone in between.
As outputs and/or potential solutions to key issues/challenges are produced, they can be channelled to the appropriate Federal or State authorities directly or via other collaborative organisations.
Working Groups can also help with putting together submissions and reports for e.g. Senate Inquiries, Senate Estimates, and other forums requiring input from across the medicinal cannabis sector.
AMCA's structure to keep its members informed and to fulfill its promise to enable all members to have the opportunity to have their voices heard, is outlined below. We hope this will enable our members to hear from a range of different experts on different topics and to raise issues and concerns.
